Live Ash's Journey

Download Pokemon Fire Ash and play through every anime region — Kanto to Galar — in classic GBA-style pixel art. Nine regions. 50+ Gym Leaders. 900+ Pokemon. Your adventure starts here.

What Is Pokemon Fire Ash?

Pokemon Fire Ash is a fan-made RPG built with RPG Maker XP and Pokemon Essentials. Instead of creating a custom trainer, you step directly into Ash Ketchum’s shoes. The story follows the anime episode by episode, from oversleeping on the morning he gets Pikachu all the way through the Alola region and beyond.

You’ll battle Gym Leaders, face Team Rocket, compete in League tournaments, and catch the same Pokemon Ash caught in the show — with some freedom to build your own team along the way. The game is not a ROM hack — it runs natively on PC and requires no emulator. Android users can play via JoiPlay with the RPG Maker plugin.

Key Features

Anime-Accurate Storyline

Every major anime arc is represented. Start in Pallet Town with Pikachu, meet Misty and Brock, and progress through the Indigo League, Orange Islands, and all regions through Galar. Dialogue and events mirror the show closely.

Massive Multi-Region World

Explore nine regions — more than any official Pokemon game. Each has its own Gym Leaders, routes, story missions, and League tournament. Total playtime easily exceeds 100 hours.

Over 50 Gym Battles

Challenge more than 50 Gym Leaders across all regions, plus rematches and post-game content. The Battle Frontier is also included.

National Dex with 900+ Pokemon

Features Pokemon from Generation 1 through 8, including regional variants, Mega Evolutions, Z-Moves, Dynamax, and Ash-Greninja. See our [full team list by region](/blog/ashs-pokemon-team) for every catch.

Classic GBA-Style Graphics

2D pixel graphics inspired by FireRed and Emerald, with custom sprites for Ash, his companions, and key anime characters. Music comes from the official games and RPG Maker tracks.

No HMs, No Trade Evolutions

Fly is replaced with a warp system at Pokemon Centers. Trade evolutions now happen by level-up or using an item. Two of the biggest annoyances from the original games are gone.

What Players Say

“This is the ultimate ‘what if’ Pokemon anime game. It’s not perfect — some dialogue is bare-bones and early episodes feel rushed — but the sheer scale is incredible. Playing through every region as Ash is a dream come true.”

— PokeCommunity forum user

“I’ve been playing for 80 hours and I’m only halfway through Sinnoh. The amount of content is insane.”

Frequently asked questions
Do I have to follow Ash's exact team?

Not exactly. You can catch and train any Pokemon you want, but certain story events require you to have specific Pokemon (like releasing Butterfree or catching a specific Pokemon for a cutscene). You have freedom to build your own team for battles, but the story assumes Ash's canon catches.

Do I have to lose League battles like Ash did?

No. You can win any battle, including League matches. However, even if you win a League tournament, the story still moves you to the next region — you don't get to advance further in that League. You can revisit and win Leagues after completing the main story.

Is the game complete?

Yes. The main story through Alola is complete, and Galar content has been added in updates. The developer continues to release patches with bug fixes and new content.

Can I play on my phone?

Yes, via JoiPlay on Android. Performance varies by device, but most modern phones handle it well.

Is there a walkthrough?

Yes. The community has created detailed walkthroughs and Pokemon location guides. Check our [full installation guide](/guide) for links.
